Soccer origins go way back to 1004BC in Kyoto, Japan. There Is documented evidence in China dating back to 2nd or 3rd centuries during Hans Dynasty. The Greeks and ancient Romans both played a game which is similar to modern soccer/footbal but with more players.

Today Britian is the birthplace of modern soccer/football. It has been played since 8th century there. In the very begining it was a violent game, players were allowed to gouge, bite ,punch and kick their opponent. The sport was almost banned. There were laws passed that if you were caught playing you would be jailed for a week. But no law could stop the Britian.
